About BettingSeeker
Last updated 2 November 2026
BettingSeeker is an independent guide to licensed betting sites and online casinos in the UK, the US and Canada. We explain who runs each site, where it’s licensed, what it offers and what the small print really says, so you can choose with your eyes open.
Why BettingSeeker exists
Most comparison sites look the same: a toplist, a big bonus and a “Claim now” button. It’s often hard to tell who wrote the page, whether anyone checked the facts, or whether the operator is even licensed where you live.
We wanted something better. Every operator on BettingSeeker is licensed by the regulator in the country the page is about, every licence is checked against that regulator’s own register, and the source is linked so you can check it yourself. If we can’t verify something, we leave it out.
Who runs the site
BettingSeeker was founded and is edited by Kevin Poorter. Kevin works in SEO and content for betting and casino comparison sites, and he’s responsible for everything published here. Each page shows who wrote it and when it was last updated.
We’re a small, independent operation, not part of a gambling operator or a large media group.
How we choose operators
We only list operators that hold a licence in the region a page covers:
- UK: licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.
- US: licensed by the gaming regulator in each state where the operator takes bets.
- Canada: registered with the AGCO and iGaming Ontario, the AGLC and the Alberta iGaming Corporation, or run by a provincial lottery corporation.
We don’t list offshore, unlicensed or crypto-only sites. You can read the details in how we rate betting sites and casinos.
How we make money
BettingSeeker is free to use. Over time we’ll earn commission from some operators when readers sign up through our links. Commission never decides whether an operator is listed, where it appears or what we say about it. Read our affiliate disclosure for the full picture.
Our standards
- Sources on the page. Licence details, ownership and offer terms link to where we found them.
- Real dates. “Updated” means someone checked the page on that date.
- No made-up scores. Operators show “not yet rated” until we’ve finished a hands-on test.
- Corrections in the open. Mistakes are fixed and logged on our corrections page.
Our editorial policy explains how pages are researched, written and kept up to date.
Gamble responsibly
Gambling is for adults: 18+ in the UK, 21+ in US states with legal online betting, and 19+ in most of Canada (18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec). Betting should never be a way to make money or solve money problems. If it stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential support in each country.
