Buzz Bingo is a UK bingo club brand with an online site and casino, licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Read about its history, regulation and tools.
We haven't finished our hands-on test of Buzz Bingo yet, so there's no score. Everything below comes from regulator records, Buzz Bingo's own published information and the sources linked on this page.
From high-street clubs to online
Buzz Bingo is a British bingo club chain, and its online site is the digital side of that business. The clubs were rebranded from Gala Bingo to Buzz Bingo in September 2018, while the Gala name carried on online under Entain. Shortly after the rebrand, the company launched buzzbingo.com, powered by Playtech.
The history behind the brand is a busy one. The chain was originally Coral-branded, then part of Gala, then sold by Ladbrokes to Caledonia Investments for £241 million in 2015. Covid closures pushed the company into a company voluntary arrangement in 2020, with 26 clubs closing for good. In 2021, Caledonia sold it for a nominal amount to Intermediate Capital Group, which invested £18 million, and ICG is the owner.
Licensing and safety
The online brand operates under Buzz Bingo Digital Limited, Gambling Commission account 57594, with a head office in Nottingham. The register shows remote licences for bingo, casino and linked gambling software, all active from 31 March 2023.
That tells you the casino side is licensed in its own right. Buzz is a bingo-led brand with casino alongside. It has no sportsbook.
You can check the entry on the Commission's public register. The page is the quickest way to confirm the licence is still active before you register.
Games and software
Bingo is the core of the brand, with slots and casino games alongside. Buzz launched buzzcasino.com in 2023 to target the casino market, so the casino is a newer arm than the bingo rooms.
Check the site for the game count, the studio list, the timetable of bingo rooms and any live dealer lobby.
Buzz launched a Single Wallet in 2022, which lets customers use funds both online and in the physical clubs.
Welcome offer and promotions
Buzz Bingo's welcome offer and its terms change over time, so read the live terms before you register.
Look at the minimum stake, how long you have to meet it, what share of any bonus is in cash and what is in club vouchers, and how many times the bonus must be played through before you can withdraw. Bonus bingo is entertainment, not a way of earning money.
Payments and apps
Payment methods, minimums and withdrawal times are shown in the cashier, which sits behind a login. Expect to verify your identity before your first withdrawal.
Buzz has an app on the App Store, listed as Buzz Bingo, Slots and Casino, and an Android app on Google Play. If you use the physical clubs, the Single Wallet may let you use the same balance in both places, but check the current rules.
Safer gambling and who it suits
In Great Britain, GAMSTOP is a free service that lets you block yourself from online gambling sites and apps. Use the deposit limits and time-outs in your account too, and treat spending on bingo as the cost of entertainment.
Buzz Bingo suits people who enjoy bingo and social play and want one brand for both clubs and online, and who also like the odd slot session. It is not the right pick if you want a sportsbook, a very large game library or table limits aimed at high stakes.
