Hard Rock Bet review: regulated sportsbook and online casino in Ontario (AGCO, iGaming Ontario) and 10 US states, with a rewards programme. Safety and payments.
We haven't finished our hands-on test of Hard Rock Bet yet, so there's no score. Everything below comes from regulator records, Hard Rock Bet's own published information and the sources linked on this page.
Hard Rock Bet in Canada and the US
Hard Rock Bet runs in Canada and the US. In Ontario it is operated by Hard Rock Digital (Canada) Limited, registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario under registration OPIG1523285 and working under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. In the US, Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC runs it in most states, and the Seminole Tribe of Florida in Florida.
The US sportsbook lists ten states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia. Players must be 21 or over in the US and 19 or over in Ontario, and physically present in a licensed location.
Sports and bet types
Both sites list a wide range of sports including football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, motorsports, boxing, MMA and table tennis. Same Game Parlays, play-by-play bets, prop bets and in-play betting are listed, and the Ontario site mentions daily odds boosts.
Cash out and live streaming are not listed for either market, so check the app for them.
Welcome offers
The Ontario site says no promo code is needed to sign up, but its main page does not state an offer amount. The US site promotes a sign-up offer for new and existing bettors across its ten states and does not state the value or conditions on its main page either.
Offers differ by state, so confirm the terms for your location before depositing. Check the minimum odds, any stake limits and the expiry of any free bets.
Rewards
Hard Rock Bet runs a rewards scheme. In the US, players are enrolled in Unity from day one and there are weekly Legendary Reward Drops. In Ontario, points start from the first wager, and the site says perks extend to Hard Rock locations in Canada and abroad, such as hotel stays and dining. The details of earning rates are in the terms.
Payments and withdrawals
The Ontario site lists Interac e-Transfer, direct bank transfers and PayPal, and says winnings can be cashed out without giving times or limits. In the US the main page lists bank, debit card, PayPal and Venmo.
On the New Jersey casino page, instant bank transfer, PayPal and Venmo are listed for withdrawals, and a linked PayPal or Venmo account has to be used for a deposit first. Debit cards and Apple or Google Pay cannot be used for withdrawals there. A 2022 press release says Nuvei supports real-time payouts through the RTP network, with a fall-back to ACH.
App, support and safer gambling
Both markets have a web site and a mobile app. In Ontario the site says support is available around the clock. Its responsible gaming hub is at rg.hardrockbet.ca, and the ConnexOntario helpline is 1-866-531-2600.
US helplines listed include 1-800-GAMBLER in Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey and Tennessee, 1-800-MY-RESET in Arizona, Ohio and Virginia, 1-800-9-WITH-IT in Indiana and 1-833-PLAYWISE in Florida.
Who it suits
Hard Rock Bet suits bettors who like same game parlays and props and who would value a rewards programme linked to a known hotel and casino brand. Offer values are not shown on the main pages, so read the state-specific terms before signing up. We haven't finished our own hands-on test yet.
