Unibet UK sportsbook review: UKGC-licensed (45322), with in-play betting, cash out, Unibet TV streams, Bet Builder and a new-customer free bet offer.

We haven't finished our hands-on test of Unibet yet, so there's no score. Everything below comes from regulator records, Unibet's own published information and the sources linked on this page.

Who runs Unibet and where it came from

Unibet was founded in 1997 by Anders Ström and started life taking bets by phone from a home in Earl's Court, London. The first betting website followed in 1999, and live betting was added in 2003.

The brand sat inside Kindred Group from 2016. The current owner is FDJ UNITED, which acquired Kindred in 2024, and FDJ United's own press release says brands such as Unibet keep their trade names across Europe.

In the UK the site is run by Platinum Gaming Limited, which is based in Gibraltar. The terms list its trading names as Unibet, 32Red and Bingo.com.

Licensing and safety

Platinum Gaming Limited holds UK Gambling Commission licence 45322, which covers customers in Great Britain. Unibet's terms also name two Gibraltar licences (RGL 091 and 092), but those apply to customers outside Great Britain.

The terms say you cannot open an account if you are self-excluded, whether that is with Unibet, another operator or through GAMSTOP. GAMSTOP is the free national self-exclusion service that blocks access to gambling accounts and apps.

If you have a complaint, Unibet says it aims to reply within eight weeks. After that you can take the dispute to eCOGRA, the independent adjudication service named in the terms, at no cost.

Sports and betting features

The app listing covers football, horse racing, tennis, rugby, darts, boxing and Formula 1, with pre-match and in-play betting. Unibet also lists virtual sports and betting guides on its homepage.

Two features stand out in the listing. Cash out is offered on thousands of markets, so you can settle a bet early for a smaller return or to limit a loss. Unibet TV lets you watch selected events in the app while you bet, and the listing names football, eSoccer and snooker among them. Streaming is subject to the usual restrictions, so check which events are available before relying on it.

Bet Builder lets you combine selections from the same match. Daily Uniboosts raise the odds on selected markets, and there is a Best Odds Guaranteed policy on horse racing, where the payout uses the bigger of your odds or the starting price.

Welcome offer and promotions

Unibet's bonus page currently shows a sports free bet for new customers: deposit and bet £20 or more at odds of 2.0 (1/1) or bigger and you get £40 in free bets. You must use a debit card or instant bank transfer, and the free bets expire 7 days after they are issued. There is also a racing-only offer of two £10 free bets for a £20 deposit and bet on horses.

Offers change often, so read the terms on the day you sign up. The terms above were current on 2 November 2026.

Payments and withdrawals

Unibet's homepage lists Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Revolut Pay, TrueLayer and Trustly. Its live casino FAQ also names PayPal and Skrill as e-wallets, plus bank transfer.

The terms set a standard minimum withdrawal of £5, though you can ask support to pay out a smaller balance in full. Withdrawals go back to the card or online payment service you deposited with, and Unibet says it does not charge for withdrawals to online payment services or UK debit cards.

Before you can deposit, withdraw or bet, Unibet has to verify your age, identity, address and source of funds. Do this early, because unverified accounts can be restricted. The terms do not give a withdrawal time, so check the cashier.

App and support

There is an iOS app (developer Kindred (London) Limited, which needs iOS 17 or later) and an Android app. Support runs through the Help Centre. The terms note that phone and chat conversations may be recorded and that you cannot place bets by phone.

Some app store reviews complain about withdrawal delays and verification. Those are individual accounts. We haven't finished our own hands-on test yet.

Who it suits

Unibet is a sensible fit if you want sports betting and casino under one login, and you like features such as cash out, in-app streaming and Bet Builder. It is less convenient if you prefer to fund your account with a credit card or a method outside its list, so check the cashier first.
