Ownership and history

BetMGM is a brand associated with MGM Resorts International. The US business began as a 50/50 joint venture announced in July 2018 with GVC Holdings, now Entain, and was named Roar Digital in January 2019. In the UK, LeoVegas Group lists BetMGM among its brands and says the site draws on its technology and on MGM Resorts' Las Vegas heritage.

LeoVegas describes large and frequent jackpots, loyalty rewards and exclusive slots as features across its BetMGM sites. That is the company's own description, so we treat it as a claim.

Licensing and safety

In Great Britain, BetMGM holds UK Gambling Commission licence 39198 through LeoVegas Gaming PLC. In Canada, BetMGM Canada Inc. is registered in Ontario and Alberta. In the US, online casino is available in Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania under state licences, and you must be 21 or over. Many US states allow sports betting but not online casino.

UK rules that apply

UK online slot stakes are capped at £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for ages 18 to 24, on slots only. From 19 January 2026, wagering on bonuses is capped at 10 times the bonus.
