PointsBet Casino Ontario is regulated by the AGCO and iGaming Ontario, with around 1,400 games, live dealers and a 125% deposit match for new players.
We haven't finished our hands-on test of PointsBet yet, so there's no score. Everything below comes from regulator records, PointsBet's own published information and the sources linked on this page.
PointsBet Casino in Ontario
PointsBet Casino sits inside the same account as the sportsbook and runs under PointsBet Canada's registration in Ontario. The company has been steadily building its casino side, with around 1,400 games, and takes a casino-first approach with a strong back-end technology foundation.
The main PointsBet site says sports and casino share one account, so you do not need to move money between apps. It also says the company builds on in-house technology instead of third-party platforms, which is a company claim.
Ontario is a crowded market, with 50 licensed operators and 77 digital casino platforms in the province, and online casino accounts for 84% of the market's wagering revenue. Those figures cover the whole market, not PointsBet. PointsBet's head of casino, Brooke Hilton, who joined in October 2023 after working on the PlayNow casino product at BCLC, wants to add gamification layers customised to the brand to help it stand out.
Licensing and safety
The footer on the casino sign-up page says PointsBet is licensed and regulated by the AGCO and operates under iGaming Ontario. The iGaming Ontario directory lists on.pointsbet.ca in both casino and sports betting categories.
You must be 19 or over and in Ontario. The page lists ConnexOntario support on 1-866-531-2600 and the BetGuard opt-out service. PointsBet says it is RG Check accredited and provides tools to set limits and take breaks.
Games and live casino
The casino page names slots such as Cash Eruption, Wild Fury, Triple Gold and Balloonies. Table and card games include Blackjack, Multi Hand Blackjack, Baccarat and Roulette. The live casino features Blackjack Live, Infinite Blackjack Live, American Roulette Live and Crazy Time.
The App Store listing also mentions video poker. The library is put at around 1,400 games. The main site mentions casino promotions like Lightning Ball and Monopoly themed bonuses.
Welcome offer
The casino sign-up page advertises a 125% deposit match up to $500. A minimum deposit of $10 applies, the wagering requirement is 15x, and the bonus expires within 14 days. Eligible games apply, and a deposit is required to get started.
That 15x requirement means a full $500 bonus would need $7,500 of wagering inside the 14 day window. Check which games count, because contributions usually differ between slots and table games. If you do not plan to play that much, you can skip the offer.
It also helps to remember that a deposit match ties your own money to the bonus. Setting a deposit limit before you claim is sensible, and PointsBet says it provides tools to set limits and take breaks. Self-exclusion across Ontario's regulated sites is available through BetGuard, which is linked from the casino page.
Payments
Visa, Mastercard, Interac, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay are listed in the casino page footer. The minimum deposit for the welcome offer is $10. PointsBet claims 90% of withdrawals are automated with no transaction fees.
PointsBet's help centre gives Interac e-Transfer withdrawals as taking one to two business days with a $5 minimum and $3,000 maximum. Use it as a guide and check the latest figures.
One point to check before depositing is the withdrawal route. Many operators pay out to the method you used to deposit, so choosing Interac for both can keep things simple. Payouts over $10,000 may be delayed while PointsBet processes them. Verification documents are normally requested before a first withdrawal, so uploading them early can avoid delays later.
Support, apps and who it suits
The casino page says 24/7 support is available by email, live chat and phone, and the app is on both the App Store and Google Play. Responsible gambling links include ConnexOntario and BetGuard.
PointsBet Casino suits Ontario players who also bet on sports and would like both in one account, with a decent live dealer line-up. The 15x wagering on the match bonus calls for careful budgeting. This is a summary of what PointsBet publishes. Its authorised partnerships with the NBA, WNBA, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and MLS show it is a visible brand in Ontario, but sponsorship says nothing about how good the casino is, so judge the games and terms on their own merits.
